Galco Releases the Concealable 2.0 for Railed 4.25″ 1911s

Galco, a name synonymous with leather and old school class, has expanded its Concealable 2.0 line. In a market dominated by Kydex and appendix inside the waistband carry, there are still shooters who appreciate classic materials paired with modern firearm designs.

Shooters, both new and experienced, are likely familiar with leather holsters from Galco. Originally founded as Jackass Leather Company, proprietor Richard Gallagher later renamed the business Great American Leather Company, or Galco for short.

The company quickly established a reputation by innovating leather holster design, including the use of forward molding. Among its most recognizable creations is the cross draw holster, known at the time as the Jackass Rig, popularized by Sonny Crockett in Miami Vice.

Now available for 4.25″ 1911s with rail, the Concealable™ 2.0 is a thoroughly modern version of the strongside belt holster.

Building on over four decades of success with the original Concealable, the 2.0 version is updated for 21st century gun carriers. Cut low at the front, the new design accommodates most popular carry-style red dot optics. The optic cutaway also allows the pistol to clear leather even faster, and promotes a smoother, faster draw for shorter-waisted users.

The raised sweat guard protects the wearer’s body from the pistol, and the pistol from the body’s natural perspiration. A mild butt-forward cant offers an easy draw from behind the dominant-side hip while also enhancing concealment with larger defensive pistols.

The Concealable 2.0’s two-piece construction is contoured on the body side to the natural curve of the hip, keeping all the molding on the front of the holster, allowing for significantly more comfortable carry and a narrower profile than an ordinary pancake type holster.

Hand-fit to specific handguns, the Concealable 2.0 features a deeply molded exterior for excellent retention properties and superior appearance, firing grip accessibility for speed, and double-stitched seams for long-lasting durability.

Constructed of premium steerhide in black or tan, it’s made to fit belts up to 1 1/2″.
