Boker has a few new models this month, including the 302 – a sharp looking pocket fixed blade.
The risks: an iconic design by Aaron Bieber with a nerve-wracking modified clip-point blade, full tang and traditional handle wrapping. The side effects: increased heart rate, hypomania and pure ecstasy. Based on the official code 302, which in the US state of Pennsylvania stands for short-term compulsory admission to a psychiatric facility for examination and treatment, local knifemaker Aaron Bieber has created a fixed blade knife that really tickles the nerves. The blade steel used is edge-retention Nitro-V, which is given a fine hairline finish on the Boker Plus 302. The fixed blade knife therefore shines in everyday use when slicing, opening or carving without losing its nerve. The Tsuka-Ito handle wrapping made of black pearl fish skin, which is well-known for katanas, with liners made of black ray skin underneath, creates an upscale atmosphere, which, with its extraordinary feel, gives you an undreamt-of thirst for action. If your hands start to shake at the sight of this, you can breathe a sigh of relief: thanks to the perfectly fitting Kydex sheath with a belt clip, the tactically inspired 302 is always safely under lock and key.
