The U.S. Transportation Security Administration is attempting to “clarify” their rules regarding traveling with ice and other frozen liquids after an airport passenger apparently froze a knife in ice.

In a social media post over the weekend, TSA officials said the discovery was made by officers at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas.

“We would like to clarify that when we said if it’s frozen it can fly…we were specifically talking about liquids. Freezing your knife in ice is super awkward,” the post said.

The headline is misleading. I was expecting to find the knife actually encased in ice – Scooby Doo caveman-style. This just looks like they dumped ice cubes on it.

Oh well, its Florida Man.
