The name Ed Jessup might not be the most well-known nationally, but he has been a force behind the scenes for a long time. According to KNIFE Publisher Mark Zalesky,

“Eddie Jessup has headed up Case’s national sales office for a long time now and can count many industry leaders among his friends. It’s a family tradition with the Jessups, is father was Case Legend E.L. ‘Shine’ Jessup, who started at Case in 1965 and stayed there for over 40 years. They are the reason that Case’s sales office is here in East Tennessee, in the heart of knife collecting country.”

Ed was recently honored by the Department of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Program (ESGR) with their prestigious “Seven Seals Award” for his support of National Guard and Reserve personnel in the workplace.

Ed Jessup Honored with Prestigious Seven Seals AwardKnoxville, TN — April 21, 2026 — Ed Jessup, President and CEO of Jessup & Associates, Inc., has been awarded the esteemed Seven Seals Award in recognition of his outstanding support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.
Jessup received the honor during a special presentation by retired Brigadier General Tommy Cauthen, ESGR State Chair. The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense program. It recognizes significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission.
As the leader of Jessup & Associates, Inc., which operates as the National Sales Office for W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, Jessup has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting service members within his organization. His leadership reflects a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by members of the National Guard and Reserve, as well as a dedication to fostering a workplace that accommodates and values military service.
“Ed Jessup’s support ensures that those who serve our country can do so knowing their civilian careers are respected and protected,” said retired Brig. Gen. Tommy Cauthen. “His commitment sets a standard for other employers to follow.”
Jessup & Associates, Inc. has built a reputation not only for excellence in sales and representation but also for its values-driven leadership and community support. This recognition highlights the company’s ongoing efforts to empower employees who balance civilian careers with military responsibilities.
