This is a tale of two hunting knives, both of which were lost and found. This is my first attempt at writing, but I thought this might be of interest to outdoorsmen. I am 87 years old and have hunted and fished most of those years. I fish the river because I like running water and the challenges you face. My hunting started in the late 1940s with squirrel and my .410 single barrel shotgun. In the 50s, I added quail, dove and ducks, but no deer because they were rare in those days. Today, I feed them in my front and back yards.

In 1965, I took up bowhunting, and I have been bow-only for 60 years. If you deer hunt, a knife is a necessity. I purchased a Camillus knife from a local hardware store in 1955. In those days, most towns had a locally owned hardware store. Fast forward to the early 80s when I was setting bush lines for catfish in the river. I picked up my knife and the point hit a styrofoam cooler, and my knife went overboard. The river was at flood stage and swift. Goodbye knife.

For a first attempt at writing, the author did a great job.  Any good lost knife stories? Any good found knife stories?
