A 39-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were killed as a result of the incident, according to police, per the AP. At least four additional people were taken to the hospital by emergency services due to injuries, and two of those people are under police guard for their alleged involvement in the shooting.

An investigation into the incident is underway in the small mountain village, per the AP.

The outlet further reported that the shooting was the result of an alleged long-standing feud between two families, which initially started as a dispute over the use of grazing lands in the rural area.
