Zero Tolerance and its sister company Kershaw have started the week with a bang, both dropping their new for 2026 models at the same time. We’ll look at the Kershaw side of things tomorrow, but today it’s all about the ZT 0117, an EDC piece that’s all about sleek linework and major weight savings.

According to ZT, the 0117 is inspired, visually, by the F-117 aircraft – and upon further consultation with sister site PlaneNews we can confirm that the heritage is apparent, particularly in the sweep of the 3.3-inch drop point blade, whose curvature echoes that of its aviary inspiration’s cockpit.  It may not be able to slice through the upper atmosphere, but with a solid EDC length and MagnaCut steel, the 117’s blade can certainly handle itself here on the ground.

Also of interest is the fact that the 117 is the second ZT piece outfitted with the DuraLock, a crossbar lock mechanism that made its debut over in Kershawland but was brought over for the 0203 in the not-too-distant past. Like all locks of its ilk, the Duralock sets the stage for an ambidextrous knife design quite nicely, which the ZT team has capitalized on here with thumb stud deployment and a reversible pocket clip.

They’ve also made weight a major priority on this model, with scales made from carbon fiber and a flow-through design. These decisions allow the 117 to hit an extremely impressive weight of just 1.9 oz. – not too shabby at all for a knife with a blade length north of 3 inches.

Something else that’s impressive? The 117 is available right now.
