Civivi Goes Prehistoric with the Entelodon

One of the many incoming Civivi models we did not have space for during SHOT Show coverage, but that we definitely want to talk about, is the Entelodon. This flashy folder is another entry into Civivi’s growing Karambit Corral.

We know what you’re asking yourself, dear reader – and fear not, we’ve already asked the question ourselves: what the heck is an entelodon? As it turns out, this is a prehistoric mammal, a nearly man-sized creature with a generally pig-like look accented with sizable, dare we say fearsome, dentition. In fact, the enteldon is sometimes called the “killer pig” for this very reason.

Our friends at Civivi took this ancient omnivore as inspiration for the curving, fang-like hawkbill on the Entelodon folder. It’s 2.6 inches long, which makes it a compact little piece, suitably for both the self-defense-type roles karambits are often design for, as well as an unconventional EDC if you’re down for that. The blade steel is 14C28N, a great choice for anyone interested in a no-muss, no-fuss stainless steel.

The Entelodon’s skeletal handle is comprised of both aluminum and G-10 components, fashioned in complimentary colors to heighten the visual effect of its overall design. This is yet another button lock folder with reversible pocket clip, two elements Civivi has been emphasizing with recent releases. Less common, but present on the 3.84 oz. Entelodon, is the pocket deployment-capable thumb ramp.
