Silent Steel launches its Generation 2 Baffle Streamer family, featuring advanced 3D-printed modules, significantly improved sound and flash suppression, new OTB models and a fully upgradeable modular architecture.
Silent Steel is proud to introduce the new Baffle Streamer Gen 2 suppressor family, representing a major step forward in our traditional baffle suppressor technology.
At the heart of the new generation is a completely redesigned 3D-printed Gen 2 Baffle Module. Additive manufacturing allows us to create advanced internal geometries that would not be possible with conventional manufacturing methods. The result is a significant improvement in both sound and flash suppression, while allowing weight, durability and performance to be optimized for different applications.
Two Materials – Two Different Missions
The new Gen 2 Baffle Modules are available in 3D-printed aluminium or Inconel 718.
The aluminium version has been developed with minimum weight in mind. Its lightweight construction makes it particularly suitable for hunters and sporting shooters who want effective sound and flash suppression while adding as little weight as possible to the firearm.
For professional users, the Inconel 718 version provides exceptional durability and high-temperature resistance. It is designed for demanding law enforcement, military and professional applications where reliability and durability under intensive use are essential.
Introducing the Silent Steel Flash-Guard
Flash suppression has been one of the key development areas of the Gen 2 platform.
The new suppressors feature the Silent Steel Flash-Guard, integrated into the front of the suppressor and designed to minimize visible muzzle flash. Combined with the new Gen 2 Baffle Module, it provides excellent flash suppression, including on demanding short-barreled weapon platforms.
A Complete Gen 2 Product Family
The new generation expands the Baffle Streamer family with several configurations for different applications.
The Baffle Streamer Gen 2 is the full-size model, designed for applications where maximum sound and flash suppression are the priority.
The Compact Baffle Streamer Gen 2 provides the same new-generation technology in a shorter and lighter package, offering an excellent balance between suppression performance, overall weapon length and weight.
The range is also expanded with two new Over-the-Barrel (OTB) configurations.
The Streamer OTB Gen 2 uses the standard Streamer body together with a Compact Streamer Gen 2 Baffle Module. By extending part of the suppressor rearward over the barrel, the design reduces added weapon length and moves part of the suppressor mass closer to the shooter for improved balance.
At the top of the range is the completely new XStreamer OTB Gen 2 – Extended Streamer Over-the-Barrel. As the longest model in the family, it uses a full-size Streamer Gen 2 Baffle Module while positioning part of the suppressor over the barrel. The result combines high suppression performance with reduced added length and improved weight distribution. The XStreamer OTB is available exclusively with the lightweight aluminium Gen 2 module.
Designed to Be Upgraded – Not Replaced
One of the most important principles behind the Silent Steel suppressor platform is modularity and long service life.
The new Gen 2 technology continues to use our standard suppressor body architecture. The new Baffle Modules are compatible with corresponding previous-generation Silent Steel suppressor bodies, allowing existing customers to upgrade their suppressor to Gen 2 technology simply by replacing the internal module.
Because the suppressor’s serial number is permanently marked on the body, the serialized component remains unchanged when the internal module is upgraded.
All Gen 2 Baffle Streamer suppressors are fully disassemblable and serviceable, allowing inspection, cleaning and replacement of the internal module when required.
