It’s been 32 long years since a B.A.S.S. Nation angler won the Bassmaster Classic. In 1994, Bryan Kerchal took home the trophy, crowning himself the first Nation angler to win “the Superbowl of Fishing.” Dylan Nutt wouldn’t be born for another 10 years. Nutt, the 22-year-old from Nashville, made history yesterday by joining Kerchal’s ranks. He’s only the second B.A.S.S. Nation angler to take home the trophy. And to make the victory even sweeter, his twin brother Carter, along with partner Bryce Dimauro, earned a win at the 2026 Strike King College Classic Exhibition at Watts Bar the day before.…

Can-Am and MeatEater have unveiled a custom Defender UTV build aimed at hunters and backcountry riders. Built on the Defender MAX HD11 Lone Star, the rig starts with a platform I’ve already tested and came away impressed by, especially its quieter cab, improved comfort, and more polished overall feel. Wading boots arguably take the most abuse of any outdoor footwear. They constantly get submerged in water and beat up on filthy, boulder-strewn banks, with muck sloshing all around. Then, they bake in the sun for hours on boats, only to be tossed in the bed of a truck for days, awaiting the next use. Or maybe, if they’re owned by an angler who “cares” for their equipment, they’re stuffed in a wading bag and left in there, soaking wet, building God knows what kind of mold and gank. Yuck. I used to have a set I swore by. Every…

Outdoor style has seen trend after trend, from bold, neon Lycra in the 1980s to gorpcore to the current Y2K “hot girl hiker” aesthetic we’re experiencing now. Another recent trend involves a makeup item you might associate more with a night out than a day outdoors: glitter. Outdoorsy folks ranging from everyday hikers to ultrarunners to Olympic skiers are embracing glitter, hair tinsel, and bedazzling. Brands have even popped up specifically for this purpose, selling sweat-resistant face glitter. My first experience with it was on a backpacking trip, when a woman told me glitter was her “luxury” item: She brought…
