Introducing The Knifemakers’ Guild Magazine: A New Era of Global Connection

In 2025/26, Guild leaders Jason Fry, Les Adams, and Princeton Wong shared a bold vision: to create a modern communication platform capable of bringing Guild knifemakers, other makers, collectors, suppliers, toolmakers, and enthusiasts together on a worldwide scale. Their goal was simple but ambitious to strengthen the bonds of our craft and give the global knife community a unified place to learn, share, and grow.

To bring this vision to life, they partnered with PorkHouse Productions owner Chip Carlisle, a fellow maker, Guild member, craftsman, and host of The Knives Templars Podcast. Chip’s long-standing commitment to promoting knifemaking culture made him a natural fit to help develop a publication that reflects the heart, history, and future of our craft.

Today, we are proud to present the result of that collaboration:

The Knifemakers’ Guild Magazine

This new publication launches as a digital magazine, currently available as a PDF download and through Apple Books, with Google Play Books availability rolling out this month for Android readers. As each platform goes live, download links will be shared so readers can easily add the magazine to their preferred e‑readers.

The magazine is offered at no cost to Guild Members—and, at this time, to knifemakers and enthusiasts throughout the community. Six issues are scheduled each year, with the potential for increased frequency as readership grows.

To support this expanding vision, PorkHouse Productions will soon begin seeking content contributors from around the world. Writers, photographers, event organizers, and storytellers who can communicate with professionalism, clarity, and creativity will have the opportunity to help shape future issues. If you have the talent and passion to contribute, keep an eye out for upcoming calls for submissions or addition into contributing roles.

This magazine is by knifemakers, for knifemakers and enthusiasts. It’s a shared space to celebrate craftsmanship, innovation, and the people who keep this tradition alive.
