A Holster for Your WML

Hey, concealed carrier… looking for a holster for your carry gun? Not a problem, you say. But… what if you have a light on that piece? You know, like one ot these:

  • Streamlight TLR-7, TLR-7X, TLR-7 HLX
  • Streamlight TLR-7 Sub, TLR-7 Sub X, TLR-7 Sub HLX
  • Streamlight TLR-1, TLR-1 HLX
  • Streamlight TLR-8 Sub
  • SureFire X300
  • Crimson Trace Rail Master CMR-206
  • Nightstick TCM-550XL, TCM-10

You may have had a bit of trouble finding a holster that fits. Well, Crossbreed felt your pain, and now I can write about the new holster they just released… the LightGuard.

What’s Different

One could excuse you for thinking “there are tons of holsters out there that fit pistols with lights”, and maybe you wonder why this holster is different.

The quick answer is that the LightGuard is meant to fit more than one light and is modular. Its hybrid construction features a Kydex lower-replaceable light shell, coupled with an injection-molded top shell for the pistol. This allows you to custom-fit the holster.

Here’s a quote from the press release, as sent to me by my Crossbreed rep:

With the days getting shorter and nights longer, carrying an EDC with a mounted light makes assessing situations easier — but finding a holster that fits your specific pistol/light combo can be a challenge. CrossBreed Holsters has a new (2026) IWB solution: the LightGuard Holster. It’s designed to accommodate nearly every rail-equipped firearm; fit depends mainly on the light model and whether the pistol is full-size or compact.

That’s what is different. One holster, many lights.

Here are a few more photos, with a Springfield Armory Hellcat tucked inside…

Notice a couple of things… the adjustability and the ambidexterity. You have screws you can adjust. I know many holsters have screws, but they usually adjust only retention. Here, you can move holster parts around or move the tab to allow the holster to be used on the other side… the lefty in me appreciates that. So, if you need a right-hand, left-hand, or crossdraw holster, you’re covered.

This one is evidently a pre-production version without the Crossbreed logo… I told you it was new! It carries a list price of $44.95, but the website currently shows a discounted price of $29.22.

This holster comes in many configurations; visit the above web page and select the exact fit you need. Crossbreed makes good stuff; I’ve used their holsters for years. Now, we have a new kid on the block.
