“There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing,” police said.

The motive behind the attack is unclear.

“It’s pretty shocking—it always feels pretty safe in the neighborhood, I would say,” a neighbor identified as Nico told News 12. “It’s not like it’s always quiet, but we’ve never felt unsafe.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
