So last year, before hunting season started in Georgia, I received a 4″ Benchmade Meatcrafter to use for the season. A smaller hybrid deboning knife built for the outdoors, perfect for field dressing game to breaking down the meat back at camp. Right out of the box, I found it to be a handy little knife that looked more than capable of breaking down any deer from my neck of the woods. With a razor-sharp edge on a trailing-point profile blade and a grippy Santoprene handle. I found it, and the hunter orange sheath it came with would always be on my hunting pack or belt for the rest of the season. So let’s see how this offering from Benchmade has held up to a season of use in North Georgia.
I like pretty much the entire Benchmade kitchen knife line. I just have assembled a variety of pieces from friends and makers I admire. But if one is looking for factory kitchen knives, Benchmade should be on the list.
