Bear OPS, the tactical division of Bear & Son Cutlery, will introduce several new everyday carry (EDC) knives at the 2026 SHOT Show. The new models emphasize dependability, function, and modern design—and are proudly made in Jacksonville, Alabama.

The popular Nekema™ I line, a premium everyday carry knife designed for versatility and reliability, expands for 2026 with new Racing Green & Black (MC-1000-ALGR-B) and Bomber Green & Black (MC-1000-ALOD-B) color options. These updated pocketknives feature Sandvik® 14C28N stainless steel blades, ball-bearing washers, a slidelock mechanism, lightweight aluminum handles, and a reversible pocket clip.

Also new for 2026 is the Nekema™ II, a purpose-built EDC knife designed for daily carry and hard use. The Sandvik® 14C28N blade is available in either a drop-point or modified tanto profile and finished with a DLC coating to resist corrosion and scratches while reducing glare. Nekema II models feature ball-bearing washers, aluminum handles, Torx® screw construction, a slidelock mechanism, and a reversible pocket clip. Available in Black & Copper (MC-1100-ALBK-B) and Gray & Blue (MC-1100-ALGY-S) models.

Expanding the Bear OPS lineup further, the brand introduces assisted-opening knives with the new Load Out™ I series. Designed for rapid deployment and lightweight carry, the Load Out I combines ease of use with premium materials for maximum cutting performance. Ideal for first responders and EDC enthusiasts, the series features Sandvik® 14C28N steel with flipper or thumb-stud deployment, aluminum handles, ball-bearing washers, a reversible pocket clip, and is available in Black & Copper (A-600-ALBK-B) or Gray & Blue (A-600-ALGY-S) finishes.

Visit Booth #12865 at the 2026 SHOT Show to explore the full Bear OPS lineup and experience firsthand what sets these American-made tactical knives apart.

About Bear OPS:

Bear OPS is a division of Bear & Son Cutlery with the goal to manufacture the best tactical knives. Every knife is made with (OPS) Operational Precision for Superior use and can be relied on for any situation. Bear OPS only uses USA manufactured parts, materials and a dedicated workforce that’s proud to build knives for our nation’s first responders and military members.

About Bear & Son Cutlery:

Bear & Son Cutlery is equipped with a rich family tradition in knife making and employs a skilled and experienced work force that is capable of performing many of the extra hand operations that go into the making of their products. The Bear & Son Cutlery factory is unique. It is full self-contained. While some companies only assemble parts brought from various suppliers and put their names on the product, Bear & Son Cutlery does everything in-house from building their own blanking dies to heat treating, grinding and assembly, and hand finishing products. These steps ensure that Bear & Son Cutlery is of excellent quality and a real value for both the dealer and consumer. Their ongoing commitment is to make them in America and make them affordable.
