Modern defence operations rely on seamless communication across land, sea, air, space and cyber domains. To perform reliably, C5ISR platforms need physical infrastructure that supports power, data and video transmission under harsh conditions. By offering a universal connection across multiple systems, USB-C reduces the need for bespoke, platform-specific components. This lightens the load on supply chains and makes field maintenance more efficient.

It also aligns with long-term upgrade plans, where new technologies can be integrated into older platforms without requiring complete system overhauls. That combination of operational efficiency and reduced hardware waste offers both practical and environmental benefits.
