Revision Military Expands Capabilities with New Photochromic Lenses in StingerHawk and SlingShot Eyewear

Revision Military, a global leader in protective eyewear solutions for military and tactical operators, today announced the launch of its next-generation Photochromic Lenses, now available in the and .

Revision Photochromic Lenses are engineered to adapt seamlessly from virtually clear to dark in changing light environments. Non-activated, the lenses remain nearly clear at 85% visible light transmission (VLT) – ideal for indoor or low-light conditions. When exposed to sunlight, they darken smoothly to 15% VLT, delivering full sunglass-level protection. Starting to darken within seconds, the lenses achieve full activation in under two minutes.

Beyond rapid transitions, Revision Photochromic Lenses are built to protect. They are MIL-PRF-32432A ballistic rated, blocking 100% of UV rays while delivering distortion-free optics. Each lens is treated with OcuMax® Anti-Fog coating for clear vision in extreme conditions and a hard-coat finish to resist scratches during demanding operations.

The SlingShot™ platform – with its featherweight browless design and thin temple arms – ensures maximum anti-fogging, and seamless compatibility with headsets and communications gear. The StingerHawk® spectacle system provides a low-profile, wide-field design favored by military units worldwide. Together, these platforms maximize the mission-ready benefits of Revision Photochromic Lenses, giving operators eyewear that adapts as quickly as the mission demands.

“Operators require eyewear that adapts without hesitation,” said Jordan Gross, Director of Product at Revision Military. “Revision Photochromic Lenses deliver that advantage – clear indoors, dark outdoors, and ballistic protection throughout all levels of light intensity. It means fewer compromises, less gear to manage, and confidence that your vision will always match your environment.”
