The 2026 Overland Expo West show in Flagstaff, Ariz., proved its worth by showcasing unique overland builds, how-to talks, and the latest and greatest in gear. From newly released adventure rigs and slide-in truck toppers to the latest rooftop tents, winches, and more, this show had it all.

More than 28,500 attended this year’s show, up a tick from last year but down about 1,000 people from 2024. Vendors were down slightly this year compared to 2025 (420 versus 423), though up from 2024 (415). All 50 states were represented, and 132 total instructors and trainers facilitated a variety of classes (including fellow GearJunkie contributor and my husband, Andy Lilienthal, and me). Media were also present, topping just over 90 people (93).

There were 323 classes, sessions, and demos covering topics such as how to live successfully out of your Subaru, traveling well as a couple, cooking on the road, patching tires, day-to-day overlanding necessities, and much more. A wide variety of products were shown and discussed, which can help adventurers stay comfortable, safe, and healthy while on the (off) road. The following nine products are worthy of those considerations.

Gear Highlights From Overland Expo West

Winnebago ARKA

Mainstream RV manufacturer Winnebago introduces ARKA, its all-new off-grid truck. ARKA combines off-road capability with premium comfort amenities to give adventurers complete self-supported experiences. ARKA has the capacity to be off-grid for up to 14 days, sleeps up to four people, and can seat up to six.

Winnebago has been making motorhomes since 1958. ARKA is the third model in its Backcountry Series lineup (complementing EKKO, its Class C RV traveler, and REVEL, its adventure camper van).

ARKA is built on a lifted RAM 5500 chassis with a 15,000-pound towing capacity. It has 41-inch tires, a winch-ready front bumper, solar, a UV water purification system, an on-board air compressor, and more.

The ARKA includes a 1,000-pound gear garage area and an L-track system that supports changing gear and interior storage needs. It also has reinforced doors and latches, as well as a full-time rearview camera and side cameras for increased visibility when in motion.

The ARKA comes with many features, including hydronic heating, heated floors, continuous hot water, and ducted AC to help keep you comfortable. It also has Winnebago Connect, which enables remote monitoring and control while adventuring in the middle of nowhere, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and optional satellite internet, so you can go off-grid wherever you want. Price: $331,901 when fully equipped.

AT Overland Aterra ASI Mid-Sized Slide-In Camper

AT Overland has been producing high-quality, lightweight toppers, flatbeds, and slide-in campers for decades. The company’s latest creation (and its first show debut) is the AT Aterra ASI Slide-In Camper for mid-size trucks.

Understanding the segment’s limited payload capacity, AT kept the truck topper’s weight down by using all-honeycomb composite construction, completely sealed with a UV-stable aliphatic polyurea coating inside and out. It’s bonded together with high-end adhesives that are essentially aerospace-grade, creating an extremely strong shell.

On the inside, the Aterra ASI has operable Arctic Turn windows, a REDARC power management system that controls the roof-mounted solar panels, vehicle charge back, shore power and other necessities (that can also be managed by a smartphone app), dimmable white and amber LED lights, seating for multiple people, a spacious 64-inch wide bed, and ample countertop space and Step 22 storage cubies that can be configured to your needs.

Options include upgrades such as a water tank and an electric hot water heater (to provide an outside shower and an inside sink), a fridge/freezer, forced-air heating, air conditioning, a rotating, dropdown table, and a front-facing window for increased ventilation, to name a few.

The base Aterra ASI price, which includes the power system, solar, roof fan, and pre-wire for Starlink, is $32,000. The fully loaded unit (shown in these photos) is $44,739 and weighs 1,049 pounds. The AT Aterra ASI Mid-Sized Slide-In Camper can be ordered now and has an approximate 5-month production lead time.

ARB 10k Winch and 12k Winch

ARB 10K and 12K winch displayed at Overland Expo West

Australian brand ARB is well-known globally for a wide variety of durable, premium aftermarket accessories, including vehicle upgrades and recovery gear. But here in the United States, the company hasn’t released a winch line — until now.

ARB’s new U.S. winches echo its Australian winch line heavily, bringing 10,000-pound and 12,000-pound capacities stateside. Both winches boast synthetic line, are IP68-rated, incorporate a custom Albright contactor with direct motor connection, and have a sleek, low-profile look.

The new ARB winches can be mounted in a variety of ways, with 16 positions and 22 degrees of clockability between each. Both winches come with an integrated corded/cordless controller with a 16-foot cable. The 10,000-pound winch is $1,370, and the 12,000-pound winch is $1,470. Both can be ordered on ARB’s website or through direct retailers.

Thule Widesky RTT

Thule Widesky rooftop tent set up on an overland vehicle

The new Thule Widesky hard-shelled rooftop tent debuted about a month ago. It’s available in two colors: Dark Slate and a limited-edition Ashland Gray hue and includes locking mounting hardware, plus a rainfly for the tent’s rear. Note: Thule offers an extra rainfly accessory for the tent sides. On the inside is a 3.5-inch-thick quilted mattress that can be propped up into a lounging position if desired. It comes with a mattress cover (bedsheet sold separately).

The Widesky’s windows are mesh, and the interior boasts two strips of LED lighting with three intensities and a small blue indicator light to help you turn the lights on in the dark (no lighting color variations found here, though). There is a small pouch that can house a battery bank to power the lights. Thule doesn’t include a bank with its tent purchase; however, you can purchase a Thule 10,000mA battery bank separately. Retail price is $4,000.

Overland Fuel 20L Water Can

Overland Fuel 20L water can with a brass spigot on display at Overland Expo West

Overland Fuel is a Dutch-German brand that’s based in Holland and produces water, fuel, and diesel cans in both countries. It debuted a German-patented high-quality 20L (5.3-gallon) water can at the show. This unit took 2 years of research and has a unique cap that self-vents to keep water stable when traveling through drastic elevation changes.

It also has a removable sealed metal spigot and a dual handle for two people to carry. The Overland Fuel 20L Water Can will be available on its website. Retail price: $165. Note: The company is currently working with the military in Europe on a fuel variant of this product.

Rugged Revive Rinse-Free Bath Sponges

Rugged Revive Rinse-Free Bath Sponges in hand

Newcomer Rugged Revive offers a wipe different from your typical “shower in a pouch” product. Unlike some brands that use alcohol or other harsh chemicals as cleaning agents, this product contains aloe vera, takes very little water to suds up into a thick lather, and when you’re done lathering, simply towel dry (no rinsing needed). Rugged Revive leaves you feeling clean from sweat, dirt, or grime, without leaving a residue or sticky feeling that other products can leave behind.

Rugged Revive sponges are tear-resistant and are meant for full-body coverage. They’re available on its website in 1-pack (25 sponges), 2-pack (50 sponges), and 3-pack (75 sponges) units. Price: 1 pack of 25 sponges is $15, 2-pack is $30, 3-pack is $40.

REDARC REDWorks Power Panels

REDARC REDWorks power panels and electrical components displayed

REDARC Electronics has been a mainstay in overland power management for over 45 years. It debuted new REDWorks Power Panels at the show: single and compact, purpose-built, pre-wired units that will simplify off-grid electrical installations.

REDWorks Power Panels range from the simplified 25A Scout25 ideal for weekender adventurers, the 50A Nomad50 for more involved and complex overlanders (full RedVision monitoring and EV/hybrid compatibility), the Pioneer50 (full RedVision control of onboard), and QuickFit Panels (75A and 100A solutions for full-size RVs and commercial vehicles).

Each REDWorks Power Panel is made in Australia, is constructed with marine and automotive-grade components, is tested for dependability, and has a powder-coated cover to help keep each unit secure for off-grid long-term usage. Prices: Scout 25 $1,350, Nomad50 $2,200, Pioneer50 $2,900, and QUICKFIT75 $6,450, QUICKFIT100 $6,900.

Adventure Tool Company Premium XL Gear Bag

Adventure Tool Company gear bag displayed at Overland Expo West 2026

One can never have enough bags, especially when traveling in remote conditions. Adventure Tool Company bags are handcrafted in Colorado and come with some seriously durable features. Its new Premium XL Gear Bag is currently on its website and debuted at this show. It’s an updated version of the original XL Gear Bag, offering more versatility and functionality than its predecessor.

The Premium XL Gear Bag has been resized to be carry-on compliant, has six spacious interior pockets, and two main zones for stowing gear. Like all Adventure Tool Company bags, the handles are sewn around the bottom of the bag, so they’ll never rip apart. It’s available in heavy-duty ballistic nylon, 12-ounce waxed canvas, or premium canvas and in a few different colors.

It is approximately 21 inches long x 14 inches high x 9 inches wide and has heavy-duty Velcro, high-tensile nylon thread, taped seams (with heavy-duty nylon binding tape), and is water-resistant. Price: $180.

23Zero Kabari Z Aluminum Z-Lift Hard Shell Roof Tent

23Zero Kabari Z aluminum Z-lift hard shell roof tent set up with an awning at Overland Expo West

The 23Zero Kabari Z  Aluminum Z-Lift Hard Shell Roof Tent made its maiden showing at this year’s Overland Expo West show. The company’s latest wedge-style rooftop tent showcases a lightweight laser-welded 2mm aluminum clamshell and is available via preorder with free shipping on their website (the first shipment is expected within the first month or so).

This clamshell hard-sided tent is gas strut-assisted with “Z lift” geometry. It has four-way access with oversized doors on all sides. The Kabari Z tent has a low profile, comes with roof bars, and has a stargazing window. It also has a 2.4-inch self-inflating mattress with a condensation mat and has two heating/cooling ports, one on each side, when the weather gets too hot or cold.

It has dimmable LED lighting and an integrated power module that offers USB-A, USB-C, and 12V outlets. It also boasts a ceiling organizer with a clear tablet pocket and boot bags to house dirty footwear. Price: $4,495.
