LOS ANGELES, March 25, 2026 — AnySignal announced it has been selected by the United States Space Force (USSF) to field their Resilient, Agile, and Interference-Defiant Network for Secure Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) and Space Data Network (SDN). This contract will accelerate the fielding of a combat-ready architecture designed to ensure mission continuity in Contested, Denied, and Degraded (CDD) environments. As near-peer adversaries increasingly deploy sophisticated Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities to disrupt allied command and control, the reliance on centralized, rigid satellite links has become a critical vulnerability. AnySignal is addressing this operational gap by delivering autonomous, decentralized communications architecture in…
America’s national parks are beloved and receive hundreds of millions of visitors a year. While they certainly deserve all the attention they get, don’t forget that state parks can deliver a wow factor, too. And there are usually some cool ones within driving distance of the most popular national parks. If you’re headed to popular parks like Zion or Yosemite, fill out your itinerary with visits to the nearby state parks that have equally stunning trails and vistas. They’re also a great chance to escape the crowds, they’re typically cheaper to access, and some even allow dogs. We talked to…
The term “gentleman’s knife” describes sleek, opulent, unassuming knives you would commonly wear during a formal occasion. I prefer the term “formal,” as it alludes to the knife being more refined without alienating anyone at the same time. CRKT recently released the Q Frame Lock flipper folder. Nowhere in the description does CRKT refer to it as a gentleman’s knife, but the purists who hang on labels will lump it into that category based on looks alone. However, a deeper dive into its materials and construction quickly reveals that where the knife may look formal, it’s also fully functional. In…
Braden Eric Peters, 20, the online “looksmaxxing” streamer known as Clavicular, was arrested Thursday in Fort Lauderdale on an Osceola County battery warrant tied to a February Airbnb fight. The arrest came the same week that Peters made headlines over a separate Everglades livestream that appeared to show repeated gunfire directed at an alligator. As of March 27, his Kick account also appeared to be unavailable, though no public explanation had been posted by the platform. Battery Charge Stems From February Airbnb Incident According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on February 2 to a reported battery at…
Our expert gear testers have been reviewing the best daypacks for more than a decade, hitting the trail to hone in on the perfect option for anyone. These packs have been taken from the desert slopes of the Sierra Nevada to the green forested mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and I’ve pulled together the winners from our travels. Our testing involved loading each pack up with typical gear for a day’s outing, hiking miles with each pack, and taking notes on each one. To choose the best of the best, I ranked each pack on quality, feedback from our testing,…
Backpack coolers keep getting cooler. They’re more comfortable, powerful, and decked out than ever. If you’ve never considered one, carrying a backpack cooler is a convenient choice for hands-free, single-person transport of tasty refreshments. That could mean tailgating after a run club meetup, heading to a local softball game with your leashed dog, or riding a cruiser to a park BBQ. These packs are useful when you have your hands full with kiddos or other gear. Or they can help commuters swoop their groceries for the day, like the ICEMULE Recycled Jaunt. Some built-out designs are great for day hikes…

This week’s batch of gear has a focus on innovation, modern aesthetics, and (for some reason) the color yellow. Maybe that’s because we’re looking down the barrel of spring, as warmer weather arrives earlier than usual. Your stoke for that abrupt change may vary (sorry, skiers). But the beauty of outdoor sports means that temperature changes open some doors even as they close others. This week’s gear reminds us of the plethora of ways to enjoy being outside, whether it’s pedaling up a mountain, running across a desert, or climbing at your local crag. Find something to get you excited…
By Scott Conditt Posted in #Gear Reliable communication used to be the first thing you lost the moment you stepped away from the grid. Once your cell signal faded, you were effectively on your own. Starlink, and now the Starlink Mini, have changed that reality in a way that is nothing short of game-changing. In a compact, packable form factor, the Starlink Mini provides high speed, low latency internet in places that were once total dead zones. It is light enough to ride in a daypack, rugged enough to survive hard use, efficient for its output, and…
Photos by Kenda Lenseigne It’s been said that you should never grocery shop while you’re hungry. That’s because you go into the store with the intention of just picking up a few things and end up walking out with a full cart. Project vehicles tend to follow the same path and take on lives of their own. We buy them with the goal of just fixing what’s needed to get them streetable. Then, we suddenly find ourselves with an infinite checklist of items we “need.” It’s a domino effect that plagues pretty much anyone who loves cars that borders on…
