The telecom industry is one of cybercriminals’ favorite targets, likely because of the sensitive data it stores. Your carrier knows what you search for on the web, which websites you visit, who you call and what you text. This type of information is valuable not only to hackers but also to governments. That’s probably why U.S. phone giant T-Mobile was hacked as part of a broad cyberattack on domestic and international phone and internet companies in recent months.I’M GIVING AWAY A $500 GIFT CARD FOR THE HOLIDAYSEnter by signing up for my free newsletter! Amid compounding concerns about an increasingly threatening China, many Americans wonder how our government left them so catastrophically vulnerable to a pharmaceutical embargo by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or how they’ve remained so defenseless against the greatest theft of personal information and intellectual property in history. They question how it’s possible that the world’s greatest military and our Homeland Security officials can leave our electrical grid so defenseless against an electro-magnetic pulse, a method of attack that could fry most electrical circuits in the nation, erase nearly all data on every hard drive, and cause the loss of an…

Community Facebook groups in Oregon, particularly those with a public safety focus, drove massive traffic to his page.”I’d get 150 to 200 comments and 300 likes on our social media posts, which generated a lot of revenue for the company,” he said.Recently, though, Meta’s crackdown on firearm-related content has turned those platforms into “a dead…
The disappearance of California Polytechnic State University student Kristin Smart, who vanished on the eve of Memorial Day weekend in 1996 after attending an off-campus party, shocked the coastal city of San Luis Obispo. The 19-year-old freshman was found partially unconscious on a neighbor’s lawn that Friday night, and two students, including one of Smart’s friends, offered to help her get back to her dorm because she was unsteady on her feet.
