1. Designed to make handloading ammunition much more precise and repeatable than conventional offerings, the Lyman Gen 6 Compact Touch Screen Powder System dispenses all types of smokeless powder at 2 grains per second while being accurate to .1 grain. Convenient features include a 3-minute warm-up, anti-drift/static technology and electronic shielding to resist interference from other electronic devices like smartphones. There is also a handy auto-repeat function that drops a precise charge each time the pan is reset. MSRP: $319.95; lymanproducts.com

2. Also available in numerous rifle and handgun calibers, Hornady .223 Remington Brass offers peace of mind for .223 Rem. handloaders in the form of superb uniformity in wall thickness, weight and internal capacity. Each case is measured for tight wall concentricity and run through a pressure-calibration test to ensure case expansion is consistent once rounds begin going downrange. Larger quantities are available, too. MSRP: $44.52 (per 50); hornady.com

3. Created with input from consumers to work in conjunction with the company’s popular CV-750 Case Cleaner, the Dillon Case Media Separator CM-500 makes the process of separating polished brass from the cleaning media as easy as turning a crank. Simply place your freshly tumbled brass into the plastic case, close the lid and briskly rotate the crank, which is reversible for left- or right-hand use. The action causes the polishing media to spill from the brass and collect in the bottom of the attached bucket for reuse. MSRP: $95; dillonprecision.com

4. Hodgdon HS-6 Powder brings welcome versatility to the handloader as it is a fine, spherical propellant that has wide application for select handgun cartridges like 9 mm, .38 Super, .40 S&W and 10 mm, while simultaneously performing well in loads for 28-, 20-, 12- and 10-gauge shotshells. Best of all, it’s available in convenient 1- and 8-pound canisters. MSRP: $50.99 to $350.99; hodgdonpowderco.com

5. An alternative to cumbersome press-mounted priming fixtures, the RCBS Universal Hand Priming Tool offers handloaders a convenient handheld option. Its universal case holder accepts brass from .32 ACP up to .45-70 Gov’t, and hardware is included to seat both rifle and pistol primers, large and small variants. Unique ridges along the bottom of the removable primer tray correctly orient all primers prior to use for greater convenience. MSRP: $79.99; rcbs.com
