A California woman, who previously served prison time after live-streaming her DUI crash that killed her sister, died in a drive-by shooting.
Obdulia Sanchez was killed in a drive-by shooting in Stockton, Calif., on Tuesday, Dec. 2, authorities said, according to reports from KCRA, KSEE and ABC 10.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office described the incident as a drive-by shooting and has not announced any arrests. Another person was wounded in the shooting.
Sanchez was previously sentenced to six years in prison for gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI and child endangerment for the crash that killed her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline, in 2017, PEOPLE previously reported.
At the time of the fatal crash, Sanchez, who was 18, was driving drunk and live-streaming on Instagram, and continued streaming after both sisters were ejected from the car, showing her sister’s body.
In the livestream footage, Sanchez could be heard yelling, “I f—— killed my sister, okay. I know I’m going to jail for life, alright? I understand that. This is the last thing I wanted to happen.”

Neither sister was wearing a seatbelt when Sanchez crashed into a fence.
“Why did God choose me to be the older sister?” Sanchez said at her sentencing hearing in 2018. “I can’t even do my job right. I had so much potential, but I threw it all away because I wanted to look cool and drive carelessly.”
Sanchez was released on parole in 2019, though was re-arrested later that same year.
Days before Sanchez was killed, four people, including three children, were killed in a mass shooting at a birthday party in Stockton. A suspect has not yet been arrested.
