Three teenage girls are facing criminal charges after they allegedly tried to stab their mother for turning off the WiFi, authorities said.
On Monday, March 24, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call about a disturbance at a home on Barkers Crossing Avenue in Houston.
There, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says deputies found a woman who had been assaulted by her three teen kids, ages 14, 15, 16.
The three siblings, who have not been identified, “allegedly coordinated a plan to try and kill the mother,” Gonzalez said.
When the woman, who has also not been identified, turned off the WiFi, “all three grabbed kitchen knives and chased her throughout the house and into the street, attempting to stab her,” he said.

The mother was also allegedly struck with a brick, he said.
“In the process, the grandmother was knocked over while trying to protect the mother,” he said.
No serious injuries were sustained by the mother or the grandmother.
The three teens were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
All three were booked in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
It was not immediately clear if the teens remained in custody, have entered pleas, or retained attorneys.
