A Maine teen who was arrested in connection with the killing of a paddleboarder reportedly wrote on his Facebook after the alleged murder that he was “doing well.”
The 17-year-old Maine native has been identified as Deven Young by police and court documents, WABI, WMTW and WGME reported.
Young was arrested on Wednesday, July 16, nearly two weeks after police recovered the body of missing paddleboarder Sunshine “Sunny” Stewart in Crawford Pond in Union, Maine, state police announced last week.
A Facebook account under Deven Young’s name, featuring his photos, was taken down over the weekend.
According to a comment on a post he wrote sometime after the killing, Young appeared to be doing well, WGME reported.
When he shared a photo taken by a third party, a user commented asking how he was doing.
He responded that he is “doing well.”
Young’s Facebook was active up until at least a day after his arrest, as reviewed by PEOPLE, but it wasn’t immediately clear when it was taken down.

Young was in the area on vacation with his family, ABC News previously reported, citing the account of an official close to the investigation.
The Facebook profile under his name showed several photos of him camping from previous years. At least one of those photos was from the popular summer vacation spot Mic Mac Family Campground, as reviewed by PEOPLE before the page was taken down.
Before her killing, Stewart had rented a campsite at Mic Mac Family Campground, on May 1, per ABC News. She had stayed on the grounds only a couple of nights before she was murdered.

Authorities have not released a motive behind the killing.
A judge found probable cause that Young intentionally killed Stewart, and he did so in a manner an adult would, WGME reported. It wasn’t immediately clear if he will be tried as an adult.
Young was arraigned on a murder charge on Friday at the Knox County Courthouse in Rockland, which he attended virtually, according to WABI and WMTW.
He has not entered a plea. PEOPLE has reached out to an attorney listed for him in court records cited by WGME.
