NFL player Kris Boyd was injured in a shooting.
The New York Jets cornerback, 29, was shot outside a restaurant in New York City on Sunday, Nov. 16.
A spokesperson from the New York Police Department (NYPD) said authorities responded to a 911 call “of a male shot in front of 156 West 38th Street” at approximately 2:09 a.m. local time.
The spokesperson added that officers found a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and he was transported to the nearby Bellevue Hospital in “critical condition.”
The address where the incident took place is listed as the fine dining restaurant Sei Less NYC.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains ongoing, the NYPD said.

In a statement issued to PEOPLE, a spokesperson for the New York Jets said, “We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time.”
Boyd was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2019, after playing for the Texas Longhorns from 2015 to 2018.
He later signed with the Jets in 2025.
