A man who reported his girlfriend missing last week has been arrested after authorities found “suspicious activity” in the couple’s home, including counterfeit paperwork about the man’s identity.
Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23, was last seen on March 31 at the Waldorf, Md., residence she shared with her boyfriend and several other roommates, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The following day, detectives reported “unusual and suspicious” activities taking place in Guerra’s residence. Guerra’s boyfriend, who is not named in the statement, then reported her missing on Wednesday, April 2.
When investigators executed a search warrant at her residence, they could not locate the mother of two but noted a family vehicle they believe is “involved in the case” was at the residence when she was reported missing, per the sheriff’s office’s statement.
With information they recovered during the investigation, authorities believe there may have been foul play involved in Guerra’s disappearance.

Investigators also found “counterfeit” federal documents belonging to Guerra’s boyfriend, the sheriff’s office noted.
Detectives learned from immigration authorities that the documents about the suspect’s identity were “fraudulent” and that he was in the country without legal paperwork, per the sheriff’s office’s statement.
The man, who shares two children with Guerra, was taken into custody by immigration authorities.
Authorities urge anyone with information on Guerra’s whereabouts or anyone who may have seen the Toyota 4Runner between March 31 and April 2, including areas that are isolated and or remote, to contact Detective Burgess at 301-609-6494 or submit a tip anonymously through Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
