A mass shooting at a packed after-hours club in Houston left six people wounded, including four in critical condition as police scour the city for two suspects.
At about 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 23, Houston police responded to reports of multiple shots fired at the Latinas Sports Bar on Hillcroft Avenue, Assistant Chief James Skelton told reporters at a press conference.
Three people suffering from gunshot wounds were taken to hospitals by the Houston Fire Department, he said.
Three others were taken to hospitals in private vehicles, he said.

Three victims underwent surgery, he said. All the victims were male, he said.
Police are searching for two male Hispanics suspects, he said.
“We do have some video, which is good,” Skelton said. Police were looking for a black Toyota Camry or Corolla with two people inside.
The shooting appears to have taken place inside the bar only, he said.

He said that the shooting took place at a club the city is trying to shut down because it operates after legal hours. In Texas, bars are required by law to stop serving alcohol at 2 a.m.
“Establishments like this within our city contribute to crime, so Houston Police, we are targeting these locations and we will shut them down,” Skelton said. “It harbors DWIs and assaults, and this is exactly what we saw here tonight.”
Skelton didn’t say what led to the shooting or who the victims were.
Police continue to investigate.
