An Alabama man was sentenced to 965 years in prison after being convicted of multiple child sex crimes.

In October, Jason Hudson was found guilty by an Autauga County jury of 84 criminal counts, including rape, sodomy, incest, sexual abuse of a child less than 12, as well as production and possession of child sex abuse material, according to a press release shared by the 19th District Attorney’s Office on Nov. 19.

Authorities began investigating Hudson after he downloaded tagged child sex abuse material on “information sharing platforms,” which then notified the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), the release states. The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office launched the investigation, which uncovered thousands of child sex abuse material.

Prosecutors said the explicit content included videos of male and female children, as young as under 2 years old, being sexually abused and brutally tortured with whips, fire, and rope.

As the investigation progressed, authorities also learned that Hudson “made home videos of himself sexually abusing, sodomizing, and raping a child under the age of 12,” the release states.

The victim referred to Hudson as a “monster” in their victim impact statement shared in court, WSFA reported.

They added that they “achieved more than they thought was possible” since then and that Hudson “no longer has a hold on their life,” the outlet reported.

Hudson’s wife, Farren Hudson, was also sentenced to 30 years in prison in July after pleading guilty to a first-degree sodomy charge, per the release.

“The victim in this case is truly a survivor who was extremely brave for coming forward and never hesitating to confront her abuser,” District Attorney C.J. Robinson said in the release.

Robinson added that he wished the death penalty could have legally been considered in the case, which he said was one he’ll “never forget.”
