A Maryland man walked into a Baltimore police station and confessed to two murders he said he committed over a decade ago, according to the city’s police department.
Scott Barnett, 45, entered the Southeast District police station on Jan. 12 and asked to speak to detectives about a murder, Baltimore police say.
Barnett allegedly proceeded to admit his involvement in the murders of Terrill Lehman, 41, and Charles Webster, 46, police claim.
Both of them were reported missing in December 2014; their bodies have not been found.
Barnett told police that he and his child’s mother, who died in 2022, were living with the victims at the time and were both involved in stabbing them and dismembering their bodies, WBAL reported, citing a police report.
Barnett reportedly told police that he discarded the remains in various trash cans around the city, WBAL, WMAR and The Baltimore Banner reported.

WMAR reported that Barnett was shown pictures of the victims and confirmed they were who he was referring to, according to police.
Police claim Barnett allegedly wrote, “I stabbed her,” and “I killed him” on their photos, WMAR and the Banner reported.
Barnett is now charged with first- and second-degree murder after his alleged confession. It is not immediately clear if he has entered a plea or retained an attorney.
