Man Allegedly Killed Girlfriend, Then Dumped Her Remains in a Forest with the Help of His 15-Year-Old Son By Toria Sheffield

A man and his teenage son have been charged in connection with the death of a woman in Oregon. 

On Thursday, Oct. 23, detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and the Oregon City Police Department arrested William Glen Blake, 56, for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Jennifer Ruth Stuart, 38, per a news release shared by the CCSO on Friday, Oct. 24.

Blake has since been charged with murder in the second degree, abuse of a corpse, unlawful use of a weapon and tampering with evidence. He is currently being held without bail, per Clackamas County public records.

Authorities additionally arrested Blake’s 15-year-old son for his role in allegedly moving Stuart’s remains, per the release. He was taken into custody on charges of abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence. The teen’s name has not been released by authorities at this time.

Investigators believe that Blake killed Stuart on Aug. 15 at their shared residence in Oregon City. Her body was eventually discovered on Sept. 1 in Mount Hood National Forest in Clackamas County.

In an update shared on Saturday, Oct. 25, the CCSO said that investigators have also spoken to Blake’s 17-year-old son in relation to the alleged crime.

PEOPLE reached out to the CCSO and the Oregon City Police Department for comment on Sunday, Oct. 26, but did not receive an immediate response.

“She was a good girl, but she’s in a better place, I guess,” Stuart’s friend, Mike Chaney, told local Fox affiliate KPTV. 

“When I found out, it hit me in my stomach, it hurt. Why do we have to lose the good ones when there are so many bad people out there?” he added.
