During the third week of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ high-profile federal sex trafficking trial, his former assistant testified that the music mogul once took her phone and threatened to use her compromising photos against her.
The assistant, who is testifying under the pseudonym Mia, told the court on Thursday, May 29 that Combs ran into a bathroom with her phone after he asked why she was walking so close to him.
Mia testified that she “threw off my heels” and ran after Combs barefoot but that the music mogul slammed the door on her hand several times. She noted that the door was heavy since they were in a commercial building.
“He bolted right past me, down the stairs and to the streets,” Mia said of Combs, whom she saw again later that day at a recording studio. That’s when Mia claims Combs told her, “I sent all your naked photos to my phone so that I got something on you if you got something on me,” per her testimony. Mia said Combs said it in an “almost like bullying” tone.

Mia further testified that she had no such pictures and that she knew Combs was lying and didn’t send anything to his phone.
The former assistant also told the court that she was “relieved” because Combs hadn’t seen a text message she sent to Combs’ stylist, Derek. Mia said the message, which was sent before Combs took her phone, said something along the lines of “he’s being a jerk right now,” referring to Combs.
Mia also told the court that whenever Combs insulted her she felt “terrified” and “humiliated,” adding, “I didn’t know why I deserved it. I made a lot of excuses for him in my head.”
Mia worked for Combs from 2009 to 2017, and she said earlier on Thursday that her role included reading his mood each day because it dictated everything. Per her testimony, she also laid out allegations that Combs sexually assaulted her and that she witnessed Combs beating his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
