GOP Congressman Accused by Beauty Queen Ex of Threatening Her with Revenge Porn By Christine Pelisek

A woman crowned Miss United States last year has accused her ex-boyfriend, a Florida Republican Congressman, of threatening to release sexually explicit images and videos of her.

Lindsey Langston, a 25-year-old Republican state committee member who was crowned Miss United States 2024, filed a police report with the Columbia County Sheriff’s office in Florida in July where she alleged that her ex, Rep. Cory Mills, contacted her multiple times after they broke up threatening to release “nude images and videos of her, to include recorded videos of her and Cory engaging in sexual acts,” according to a police incident report obtained by PEOPLE.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson told the Associated Press that the report was forwarded to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement could not be reached for comment.

In an interview with sheriff’s investigators, Langston alleged she began a relationship with Mills in November 2021. During their relationship, Langston said she lived with Mills at his house in New Smyrna Beach, splitting his time between there and Washington, D.C.

“Lindsey advised when her and Cory met he was still technically married,” read the report. “However Cory informed her that him and his wife were separated, which is why she agreed to move to New Smyrna with him.”

According to the report, on Feb. 20, 2025 Langston saw news reports that Mills “had been in a physical altercation with ‘his girlfriend’ while in Washington.

The woman later took back her statements to police and prosecutors declined to file charges, per the Washington Post. Mills allegedly denied any infidelity and allegedly claimed the “press fabricated the story.”

“Lindsey then found a social media account for the other woman and saw posted photos of her with Cory,” according to the report.

Langston then moved back to her parents’ home.

The threats allegedly started “when Cory believed Lindsey to have other romantic partners in her life after the break up,” according to the report. “Lindsey also provided text messages and Instagram messages between her and Cory, which consisted of Cory threatening to harm any men Lindsey intended to date in the future.”

The last message allegedly between the former couple was on June 12 when he sent her a message stating, “I hope you hold your crown until the end,” the report alleged.

The 45-year-old lawmaker has denied the claims in a statement to CBS News.

“These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions,” he said. “I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District.”

Mills or his attorney didn’t return PEOPLE’s call for comment.

Langston also could not be reached for comment.
