Girl, 8, and Dad Shot By Gunman Disguised as Delivery Driver on 'Targeted' Spree By Nicole Acosta

A young girl and her father were shot by a man disguised as a delivery driver who authorities allege went on a “targeted” shooting spree.

Jazz Reid, 33, is currently on trial on attempted murder charges in connection with the November 2024 shooting that wounded the pair in London, according to BBC. He has pleaded not guilty, the outlet reported.

Authorities said the 8-year-old girl and her 34-year-old father, who have not been named, were sitting in a car when Reid allegedly fired 11 shots in their direction, BBC reported. The father was struck five times and the daughter twice; both survived.

Prosecutor Michael Goodwin KC argued in court this week that this was one of three “targeted” shootings in which Reid allegedly “planned and executed with precision,” per BBC.

Another happened nearly two weeks before at an address connected to the father, though nobody was injured. On Oct. 9, 2024, Reid allegedly shot and wounded a man who was sitting in his Notting Hill home, BBC reported, citing authorities.

Goodwin claimed Reid was disguised as a delivery driver for Deliveroo, a British online food delivery company, and traveled on an e-bike during all three shootings, the outlet reported.

Investigators alleged they found a 9mm self-loading pistol under a concrete slab outside Reid’s home and linked him to DNA found on the pistol believed to have been used in the most recent shooting, per BBC.

The Crown Prosecution Service and the Metropolitan Police Service declined to comment on an active case when reached by PEOPLE.
