Training with your carry gun doesn’t always mean blowing through a pile of ammo at the range. Dry fire practice is a proven method, but what if you could make it more engaging and scenario-based? Aimpoint’s GAIM VR system lets shooters run drills, practice target transitions, and even walk through competition stages — all from the comfort of home.
What Is GAIM?
GAIM integrates with the Meta Quest VR headset and comes in several configurations, from rifle stocks to pistol platforms. The handgun trainer—an inert Arex Delta II equipped with swappable backstraps and a dedicated fire control unit—syncs seamlessly with the Quest system.
The app itself is tailored to the firearm you’re using, allowing shooters to select between an Arex, Walther, or Glock model, some with Aimpoint ACRO red dots or iron sights. GAIM isn’t a substitute for recoil management or the feel of live fire—but as a dry fire supplement it provides a more engaging, scenario-driven training option than just snapping in on a wall.
