A 20-year-old man was shot dead in a Georgia home last week — and police believe his twin brother was responsible.
Kiian Hodnett, 20, was found dead by officers responding to an “unknown medical call” in his LaGrange, Ga., home on Friday, March 21, local police said in a statement.
Police say Hodnett was dead from gunshot wounds. They arrested his twin brother Kiias Hodnett, who police allege shot Kiian shortly before the 911 call.
LaGrange police declined to comment on a motive.
In a Facebook post, a woman identifying the men as her nephews said she’s hurting for both of them.
“I’m praying for them both. Mental illness is such a thing and I wish it was more of us can agree and admit to it and let the younger generation know that ITS (sic) OK,” wrote Shan Staples, alongside photos of the two men.
“It can be ok and seek help if/when needed… These boys have been through [so] much over the years and felt as NO ONE understood them as if they were the only ones on this DARK A– PLANET CALLED EARTH,” she added.
LaGrange police did not comment on whether mental illness was a factor in the shooting.
