  • Newly released body cam footage shows elementary school teacher Karly Anderson arguing with police during a party attended by underage students
  • Anderson was placed on administrative leave for a second time on April 14, as authorities investigate her attendance at the house party thrown by her former boss, the elementary school’s principal
  • One of the students allegedly got so drunk at the Jan. 19 party that EMTs had to come treat him on the front lawn of the principal’s house, police said.

The Florida teacher arrested for allegedly taking part in an alcohol-fueled house party attended by more than 100 students was placed on paid administrative leave for a second time after body cam footage showing her arguing with police became public.

In newly released footage first obtained by ClickOrlando, an allegedly drunk Karly Anderson, 45, of Cocoa Beach, can be seen cursing and yelling at police when a student was placed in an ambulance.

“Who the f— did you… who got put in that car?” she says, seemingly slurring her words and referring to an ambulance, the footage shows, Fox 35 reports.

‘I’m concerned about a child that’s being put into a machine, into one of these vehicles, and it’s not my f—ing business?” she allegedly says in the video, which was released by the State Attorney’s Office.

At one point during the video, she explains, “Well, you know I’m a teacher,” NBC Miami reports.

Principal Accused of Hosting Alcohol-Fueled House Party with 100 Students, Including 1 Who Suffered ‘Medical Event’

“I was here hanging out at this party,” she says. “I mean, what the f—.”

The officer in the body cam footage tells Anderson there are “like 200 kids here” who are drinking, and then says, “and you’re drunk as well.”

Anderson shoots back, “I’m not drunk.”

When he tells her he can “smell it,” she says, “Oh, you smell it?”

At one point, Anderson asks the officer why he is yelling.

“Because you’re here with your boss having a party with 200 kids who are drinking!” the officer shouts at her. “Get out of my face, now!”

On Tuesday, April 15, Anderson was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of her criminal case and an internal district investigation, ClickOrlando reports.

The announcement came a day after Anderson had been reassigned from Roosevelt Elementary School to Saturn Elementary School because of her January arrest.

On the night of Jan. 19, police were called to the home of  Roosevelt Elementary School principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, 47, of Cocoa Beach, after receiving calls about underage drinking and fighting at her home, Cocoa Beach Police said at the time.

There, officers found more than 100 juveniles, many ages 13 to 17, many of whom were consuming alcohol that was later learned to be available in coolers at the residence, police said.

The students were attending a “White Lie” party in which partygoers wore white t-shirts with “little white lies” written on them, Fox 35 reports.

One underage partygoer “was so heavily intoxicated that Brevard County Fire Rescue (BCFR) had to respond to treat them,” police said.

Hill-Brodigan was charged with child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and holding an “open house party,” police said.

Anderson was arrested and charged with child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She and Hill-Brodigan were placed on administrative leave at the time.

On April 1, prosecutors dropped the child neglect charge against Anderson and charged her with disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication, which are both misdemeanors, WESH reports.

In a statement from Brevard Public Schools on Monday, April 14, it said, “The State Attorney cleared Karly Anderson of the felony charges. [The] Department of Children and Family Services cleared Ms. Anderson as well. She’s a certified teacher and as of today she’s been placed by the district back into a classroom.”

People in the community are upset at the two educators and what they saw in the footage, which led her to be placed on leave again.

Brevard County Public School Board member Matt Susin called Anderson’s alleged actions in the body cam footage “deplorable” and “disgusting,” Fox 35 reports.
