Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown sent a public message to the thief who stole his car on Monday, April 21.

In now-deleted posts shared on his Instagram and X accounts, Brown, 27, proposed to “make a deal” with the alleged thief and said he “won’t press charges” if his car is returned, according to ESPN, CBS and Fox29.

“I’ll make a deal with you bro, to whoever you are, which I’m gonna find out soon, just bring the whip back bro,” Brown said in a video. “I’ll make a deal with you…Bring back my car and I won’t press charges, or when I find you today, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Take it or leave it my guy.”

According to CBS, Brown said the car jacker “pulled up at 3:42” and “go up out of there at 3:45,” adding that the thief was “smooth with it” when taking the car. “You fast on your feet, I’m gonna show you how fast I can be,” Brown said before claiming he knew the location of the alleged thief.

“We know where you are right now…right now…pull back up, bro,” Brown said.

Shortly after Brown’s message on social media, sources told Fox29 that police located the car in Camden, N.J. and the suspect was taken into custody on Monday.

According to ESPN, Brown said on social media after the car was found, “We’ve already got the whip. I told you to just turn the car back in, and now you’ve got to deal with the consequences, man.”

Whether or not Brown will press charges against the alleged thief remains unknown.

On April 8, Brown posted a photo from inside his car, although it is unconfirmed that the car pictured is the one that was stolen from the NFL player. He captioned the photo, “Knew dat Honda was bs,” poking fun at when he went viral in January for arriving to a game in a Honda.

That same month, Brown made headlines when fans noticed he was reading an inspirational book on the sidelines during an Eagles game. Fans quickly identified the book as Inner Excellence by Jim Murphy.

The Super Bowl champion later posted pictures of the book on social media with highlighted paragraphs: “This game is 90% mental and 10% physical for me,” he wrote alongside the post. “I bring it to every game and I read it between each drive. I use it to refocus and lock in despite what may transpire in the game, good or bad.”
