The judge in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial adjourned court for the day after a juror experienced vertigo and had to return home.

Judge Arun Subramanian halted proceedings Wednesday, June 18 when the juror’s partner informed the court of the symptoms.

“We have a sick juror,” the judge said, later adding, “I don’t think there’s any way for us to proceed today.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey told the court she was opposed to dismissing the juror for the remainder of the trial. Both prosecutors and the defense agreed it did not make sense to proceed Wednesday with a sick juror.

The court did review text messages — between a member of Combs’ security team and a drug dealer — introduced by the prosecution. The defense objected to their admission. The judge will decide if the texts are admitted into evidence.

Combs is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution and has pleaded not guilty.
