The first week of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ explosive sex trafficking trial, which could last several weeks, is wrapped with Casandra “Cassie” Ventura finishing her blockbuster testimony on the witness stand for a fourth straight day on Friday, May 16.
Ventura, a key witness for the prosecution, has made some bombshell accusations, including an allegation that Combs raped her in 2018.
Combs and Ventura were in a relationship for 11 years. During that time, she testified, she was made to participate in “Freak Offs” with male sex workers. Proving Ventura was coerced into participating will be key for prosecutors trying to land a conviction on the charge of sex trafficking.
Ventura also alleged Combs abused her and exerted immense control over her personal life.
Cross-examination of Ventura began on Thursday, with the defense aiming to portray the “Freak Offs” as consensual.
The Bad Boy Records founder is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, and has pleaded not guilty.
Ventura, who is 8 months pregnant, left the stand Friday afternoon. Prosecutors then called FBI Special Agent Yasin Binda and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, who will return to the witness stand on Monday.
