A man is facing several charges after allegedly instructing his 6-year-old daughter to attack another student on a bus in Missouri.
The man, identified as 36-year-old Maurice Fox, has been charged by St. Louis County prosecutors with first degree harassment, trespass of a bus and two counts of fourth-degree assault related to the student who was attacked and the bus driver, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
The incident happened at around 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. Fox allegedly entered the bus with his 6-year-old daughter and when the bus driver told him to get off, he pushed his arm away and continued down the bus aisle.
According to police footage obtained by KMOV and KSDK, Fox could be heard telling his daughter, “Do what I told you to do.” He then told the other child, “Hey, don’t put your hands on my daughter no more… ‘cause if I find out you’re touching her again, your parents will have to talk to me.”
He then asked his daughter, “What do you do?,” and then she could be seen in the footage throwing a punch at the other student multiple times, as Fox watched nearby. He then said, “Again,” which prompted the 6-year-old to throw several more rounds of punches to the other child’s face.
“I want her crying. Again,” he was heard saying in the video as his daughter continued to throw punches before he told her, “let’s go.” The child who was allegedly attacked on the bus could then be seen in the footage shaking her head multiple times before the video ended.

“This incident is disturbing and completely unacceptable,” Ferguson Police Chief Troy Doyle told KMOV and Fox2Now in a statement. “We have made several attempts to contact the parent, but he has avoided all efforts to speak with our detectives.”
“However, he has found the time to create a GoFundMe account seeking donations for his legal defense,” he continued, seemingly referring to this GoFundMe page. “You cannot crowdsource accountability. We urge him to contact the Ferguson Police Department immediately or come in and speak with our investigators to give his account of the incident.”
According to court documents, Fox has prior convictions for armed robbery, aggravated battery and unlawful firearm possession. A search warrant has been issued for his arrest with a $100,000 bond.

The Ferguson Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on the incident.
The Ferguson-Florissant School District said in a statement to KMOV that it was “aware of an incident involving a parent boarding a school bus without permission” and was “fully cooperating with law enforcement as they address this matter.”
“Student and staff safety is always our top priority, and we will not tolerate anything that compromises their safety,” the district said. “School buses are an extension of the school campus. Trespassing on a school bus and engaging in the behavior described in this incident are completely unacceptable.”
