As the second day of her testimonies wrapped up, an emotional Casandra “Cassie” Ventura told the jury she considered ending her life, while her children were in the next room, because of flashbacks of her alleged abuse by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Ventura testified in a Manhattan courtroom on Wednesday, May 13, which marked the third day of Combs’ trial for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.

The pair’s on-again, off-again relationship lasted a decade and Ventura alleges the years were full of mental, physical and sexual abuse — including “hundreds” of “Freak Offs,” which included her being forced into different sexual activities.

Their relationship was confirmed over in 2018, the same year she alleges Combs raped her.

She met her current husband, Alex Fine, shortly afterwards. The couple now have two daughters and are expecting their third child.

But the years following her separation from Combs weren’t smooth as she began processing her alleged abuse, Ventura said in court on Wednesday.

Plagued by flashbacks of her time with Combs, she began having suicidal thoughts in 2023, she said.

“I was spinning out,” she said. “I didn’t want to be alive anymore at that point.”

She broke down in court as she recalled one instance in March 2023 when she tried to take a step to end her life — while her kids were asleep in the house.

“I couldn’t take the pain I was in anymore and just tried to walk out the front door into traffic,” she said, adding that she told her husband: “You can do this without me, you don’t need me anymore.”

Fine, who has been showing up in support for Ventura in court, stopped her from walking out the door that evening, she said.

She is expected back in court on Thursday.
