Bryan Kohberger, who pleaded guilty to the 2022 murder of four University of Idaho students, is set to be sentenced today in a Boise, Idaho, courtroom.
Kohberger, 30, was a criminology graduate student at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., when he was arrested for the killings of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.
Kohberger broke into a home where the four students lived in the early hours of Nov. 13, 2022 and stabbed them to death. Two other roommates who were home at the time survived.
Earlier this month, Kohberger pleaded guilty to the killings in a deal that made it possible for him to avoid capital punishment. Today, he is expected to receive four consecutive life sentences, as well as an additional ten years for a burglary charge.
