The body of a Maryland mother who went missing from the home she shared with her boyfriend nearly a month ago has been found, authorities said. The discovery also led to charges against her boyfriend and his uncle.
On April 17, the body of Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23, was found buried in a “heavily wooded area” of Cedarville State Forest in Prince George’s County, according to a press release from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Her cause of death was not disclosed but authorities noted that her body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Md., for an autopsy.
Guerra was last seen on March 31 in the Waldorf, Md., home she shared with her boyfriend and several others, but her boyfriend reported her missing on April 2, the sheriff’s office previously said.
After the discovery of Guerra’s body, the boyfriend, identified as Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera Rosa, 24, was charged with murder in connection with her death, according to the sheriff’s office. He is in custody out of state while awaiting his return to Charles County.
Rosa’s uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Bererra Bererra, 37, was also arrested and charged as an accessory for alleged “actions he took in Prince George’s County following her murder,” the sheriff’s office said. Berrera is being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center.
It’s unclear if Rosa and Berrera have entered pleas or retained attorneys to speak on their behalf.
Authorities have said they suspected foul play in the mother of two’s disappearance after identifying “unusual and suspicious activity” at her home the day before she was reported missing, per a previous press release shared by the sheriff’s office.

Investigators who executed a search warrant at Guerra’s home could not find her but noted that a family vehicle, believed to be “involved in the case,” was at the residence on April 2. During the search, investigators also found counterfeit federal documents belonging to Guerra’s boyfriend, who shares two children with the woman.
Detectives learned from immigration authorities that the documents about the boyfriend’s identity were “fraudulent” and that he was in the country without legal paperwork. Rosa, whose identity was not shared by the sheriff’s office at the time, was subsequently taken into custody by immigration authorities.
“While this was not the ending that we all hoped for, I am grateful to all those who worked so hard to find Ms. Guerra,” Charles County Sheriff Troy D. Berry said in the release. “On behalf of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, I offer our most sincere condolences to all of her family and friends.”
