A Wisconsin woman was found dead in an alley this week hours after a young boy — later identified as her son — was found lost and wandering around early in the morning.
Anya Raymond, 31, was found with several gunshot wounds in a Milwaukee alley around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, WISN, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and TMJ 4 reported.
Hours prior, around 4 a.m., a little boy, presumed to be around 5 or 6 years old, was found wandering with no shoes or socks in a location about three miles from where Raymond’s body was found, Milwaukee police said, per the outlets.
Officials have since said the boy is related to Raymond, without disclosing the nature of the relationship, the outlets reported.
In a GoFundMe, Raymond’s family said the boy was her son.
Online activities from a Facebook account that matches the name and photos of Raymond show cryptic posts in the days leading up to the recovery of her body.
“I ain’t wanna leave on bad terms now s**t [going to] get super bad tryna go low or I’m [going to] go to hell,” she wrote in a post on Oct. 29, adding, “videos pics the whole nine & make sure I explain why we fell out.”
“Always one step ahead I’m gonna have him my way 4sure,” she said in another post on Oct. 31.
“Check mate,” she wrote in her very last public post two days before her body was found. “Talking about kids is insane but god dont (sic) like ugly.”
It wasn’t immediately clear who the posts were referring to.
