An elderly woman was robbed of her lottery winnings moments after collecting them from a store in Florida, authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at a store on Curry Ford Road, near the intersection with S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando, Fla., according to a Facebook post from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Surveillance footage shared by the sheriff’s office shows the woman exiting the business and walking to her car with the apparent lottery winnings in hand. Moments after, a man approaches the woman and violently grabs the winnings.
Another man comes out of the store and attempts to stop the robbery, but the suspect violently hits the woman, who falls to the ground as the second man tries to pull him away.
However, the suspect, later identified by police as Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury, was able to break free and took off with the woman’s winnings. The woman claimed to investigators that the suspect took about $200 from her, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office tells PEOPLE.
