6 Teens Hospitalized After Mass Shooting in California

Six teenagers were hospitalized after a shooting in California.

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 12000 block of Orchid Lane in Moreno Valley to reports of gunfire on Saturday, June 21, 2025, just before 11 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a teen near Hemlock Avenue and Orchid Lane, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They soon discovered four more teens who had also been hit by gunfire.

The teens were transported to local area hospitals with “life-threatening injuries,” according to a sheriff’s press release.

Another gunshot victim was taken to the hospital and was “determined to be connected to the same incident,” the sheriff’s office said.

The victims were between the ages of 14 and 18, per the sheriff’s office.

The shooting occurred during a gathering in a parking lot, the sheriff’s office said.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, a mass shooting is defined as an incident in which four or more people are shot or killed, not including the shooter.

No suspects have been arrested.

“This investigation is ongoing,” the sheriff’s office said in the release.
