• A 36-year-old mother, her two children and her parents were shot to death by her husband, police say
• Shane Killian has been arrested and charged with several counts of murder following the shooting, per authorities
• Police have not discussed a motive
A California man is under arrest on accusations he massacred five members of his family, including his wife and young children.
Authorities say Brenda Natali Morales, 36, Miguel Carcamo, 70, William Killian, 6, and Wesley Killian, 1, were shot in an Alameda, Calif., home on Wednesday, July 10.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Office, who confirmed the identities of the victims with PEOPLE, did not release the name of the fifth victim. The San Francisco Chronicle, citing the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau, identified the fifth victim as Morales’ mother, 56-year-old Marta Morales-Diaz.
Alameda police arrested Shane Killian, 54, after the shooting, authorities announced last week.
The victims were the suspect’s wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law and his two sons, police said.
Police responded to the home on the day of the shooting after receiving information from a caller who said a neighbor had been shot, Police Chief Nishant Joshi said at a press conference streamed by KRON 4.
While tending to the victim, later identified as Shane’s father-in-law, police “became focused on a nearby residence,” Joshi said.
Shane came to the door, and he was detained without incident, Joshi said. During a search of the residence that followed, authorities found the bodies of the other victims inside.
In his dying moments, the elderly victim allegedly told police Shane was the killer, KTVU reported, citing law enforcement.
A representative for Alameda police told PEOPLE Shane’s father-in-law “provide[d] officers with information before passing away.” The spokesperson did not share any further details about the “information,” citing the ongoing investigation.
The killings has shaken the local community, according to several news reports. William played in the local Alameda Little League, and his death impacted those who knew him, KTVU reported.
“Our heart goes out to them in its fullest,” said Alameda Little League President Ron Matthews, per the outlet. “This is really harmful to us – hurtful I should say.”
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses and costs related to relocating the bodies of the victims to their native El Salvador.

Killian was charged with four counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, corporal injury to a relationship partner, elder or dependent adult abuse, infliction of injury, possession of an assault weapon, and possession of an unconventional pistol, the Alameda County District Attorney previously said.
Alameda police tell PEOPLE they expect a fifth murder charge to be added. Police have not released a possible motive for the massacre.
Shane is being held without bail, KRON 4 reported, citing inmate records. He is expected to enter a not guilty plea, his defense attorney Palden Ukyab has said, per the outlet.
