A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a mass shooting at a North Carolina party over the weekend left one dead and 11 injured.

On Tuesday, June 3, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Garon Nathaniel Killian, of Lenoir, N.C., had been taken into custody in relation to the shooting, which occurred on Walnut Acres Drive in Mountain View at around 12:45 a.m. local time on Sunday, June 1, per a news release shared on Facebook.

Killian has been charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder, police said, adding that the suspect is being held under no bond in the Newton Detention Facility.

He’s due to appear in Catawba County District Court on Wednesday, June 4, the post added.

“Law enforcement executed multiple search warrants on Tuesday as part of the ongoing investigation. Arrests of additional suspects are anticipated,” the release stated.

Per the Associated Press, the victim has been identified as 58-year-old Shawn Patrick Hood, of Lenoir, citing the sheriff’s office. Hood was reportedly the oldest of the victims, who ranged in age, the news agency reported, adding that the youngest was thought to have been 16.

The initial sheriff’s office Facebook post on Sunday confirmed that 12 people had been injured in the shooting, one of whom was deceased. At the time, police said that one of the victims was in critical condition, while several others remained hospitalized.

Authorities are pictured at the scene of the mass shooting on Walnut Acres Drive in Mountain View, N.C.

Per the AP, at least 80 shots were fired, and people were reportedly “running, ducking for cover and scrambling to their cars for safety.” The outlet stated some victims suffered gunshot wounds, while others suffered injuries from trying to flee the scene.

Police have been asking the public for camera footage from the evening of Saturday, May 31, in multiple Facebook posts about the shooting. The FBI has also been offering a reward up to $15,000 for any information leading to the identity, arrest and successful prosecution of the suspect, per an FBI Charlotte Facebook post.

Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Major Aaron Turk said the crime scene “spanned several properties along a neighborhood road, covering about 2 acres,” per the AP. Turk added that it included outdoor and indoor areas.

Turk and the Catawba County Clerk of Court didn’t immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE for additional information.
