Two men have been arrested after allegedly planting a bomb under a news station’s car in Utah.

On Friday, Sept. 12, a device was found under a Fox 13 vehicle in Salt Lake City, according to the outlet.

Although the bomb had been lit, it “failed to function as designed,” a Unified Fire Authority Investigations Officer wrote in court documents obtained by CBS News.

The device was found to be real, according to Fox 13.

The vehicle was parked by an occupied building when the Salt Lake City Police Bomb Squad and the Unified Fire Authority Arson/Bomb Squad found the device, the outlet and ABC News reported.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, Fox 13 Station Manager, Leona Wood, said, “We can confirm that local and federal authorities are investigating an incendiary device found under a FOX 13 News vehicle on Friday, and that two men have been arrested in connection to this incident. We are working closely with law enforcement and our risk management team, with the safety of our employees our top priority. We do not have information from law enforcement about motive.”

PEOPLE has contacted the Unified Fire Authority, the Salt Lake City Police and Salt Lake City FBI for comment.

Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were arrested and held without bail at Salt Lake County Jail on Sunday, according to CBS News.

Their charges include possessing weapons of mass destruction, possessing explosive devices and threat of terrorism, Fox 13 reported.
