Two people were killed and another four were injured in a shooting at a house party in Washington State.
Deputies responded to the party, which involved 30 to 40 juveniles at a house in Tacoma, just after midnight on March 29, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said.
Originally called to respond to a report of a fight, shots rang out just before deputies arrived, police said.
One male victim was pronounced dead on the scene, while another succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital, according to the sheriff’s office. Four others were injured.
Though police did not identify the victims or specify who was killed and who was injured, the youngest was 16 years old while the others ranged from age 17 to 21, the sheriff’s office said.
A juvenile suspect, whom police did not name, was taken into custody.

Deputies arriving on scene found a chaotic scene, with people and cars fleeing from the home, leading to vehicles getting stuck in the neighborhood.
Though no one beyond the initial victims was found injured, homes and vehicles near the scene shooting were damaged, the sheriff’s office said.
“This is another grim reminder of how dangerous parties can be when things get out of hand,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Our deputies and first responders have dealt with a lot in the last 24 hours, and we would hate to respond to more unnecessary deaths.”
